My Herd™puts one of our experienced
consultants on your farm, who is an expert in “reading” cows
and understanding the key factors for a cow friendly environment.
During the assessment, which takes 5-6
hours, cows are mobility scored, body condition scored, as well
as assessed for rumen fill, front feet problems, teat condition, teat
end damage and many more factors.
The consultant checks out the cow nutrition,
housing, feeding facilities, water availability, cow tracks and
other walking surfaces. Cow environment will be assessed in great
depth: in particular space per cow, light levels, ventilation
and suitability of housing to the type of cows as well as access
to grazing, water supply and other key factors.
